Job Title: Payroll Assistant
Location: Toronto, Ontario
Length of Assignment: Full time, Permanent
Salary: $45,000 – $50,000 + bonus + benefits

Remote work available


  • Assist in the processing of the bi-weekly payroll
  • Maintaining and updating the payroll system, investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving any payroll issue
  • Respond to and resolve any payroll inquiries for employees across Canada
  • Assist in processing employees hourly and salary, bonus, and holiday pay for all team members in an accurate and timely manner
  • Responsible to calculate and administer all employee benefits premiums
  • Day to day benefit administration
  • Setting up new employees
  • Issuing ROEs


  • PCP or enrollment is considered a strong asset
  • Experience with benefits administration is an asset
  • 2-3+ years of payroll experience is required
  • Experience with large payrolls; 300+ employees
  • Experience with manual and automated payroll is required
  • Ability to work effectively as a part of a team
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal
